Val: Wait what? What did you call him?
Me: Huh?
Val: Our children are not "bubbas".
Me: I don't... what?
Val: Do not call our children "bubba". They are not "bubbas".
Me: I was being affectionate, not assigning a nick-name.
Val: Be affectionate with other words.
Me: Me calling our 21 month old son bubba casually once in the kitchen is not going to turn him into a fat unshaven hillbilly in greasy overalls.
Val: Yes. Yes it is. No "bubba". We have no "bubbas" here.

There was a moment where I was sitting on a river bank watching the sun set on a pleasant Summer evening and I just felt at peace and in tune with the world. Thus, Thoughts for a Lazy River. The blogs here are my musings, both philisophical and theological, and various stories I have from my past and present. Occasionally I may write something wacky when the mood hits me but overall this will be a record of my ponderings. I know, I know, sounds pretty boring and more than a little pretentious but hey that's what the internet is for. Coincidentally, I have chosen to not broadcast this blog to friends and family. Not hiding it, just not advertising it. What that means is any readers are here because they found it on their own. You may notice that my spelling leaves a little to be desired. I hope you also notice that I don't care.
